Message from Chief Joseph Balog
I expect and know I will hear fireworks on or around the 4th of July. Please be a respectable neighbor and pay attention to the time. No tolerance will be given after the 4th of July.
Statistics: In 2011 the State of Wisconsin reported 83 Fireworks injuries that required medical care. Fifteen people were hospitalized; 40% if those injured were children.
Hope you all have a safe and great 4th!!!!!
As we start 2013 in the wake of such tragic events such as Sandy Hook, the Sikh Temple and the Azana Spa, I would like to remind the citizens of Genoa City to remain vigilant and assure you that we have one of the most progressive trained departments in active shooter situations. The safety of our children and citizens will remain our highest priority.
I would like to wish all of our Village residents and visitors to our community a very Merry Christmas and hope all have a great Holiday Season! Please keep your thoughts and prayers of all the members of our Armed Forces and thier families as we hope for thier safe return.
